A Year in Black and White - 6/52 and 7/52

Well it had been a long time since I had taken shots of the moon, and I figured this would be a good time to do so :)

6/52

And the next photo, well, kinda breaks my heart.  I was going through some stuff the other day and found one of Echo's belly feathers.  I miss him so much, I don't think I'll ever get over it.

Trying to keep moving

This summer has been pretty good so far, having a good time with friends around a bon fire most weekends, went for a few road trips, saw a bit of wildlife and went skydiving, of course.  Here are a few pictures of my summer so far :)

Helped what I think is a snapping turtle cross the road.

Took random pics of random kitties.

Took shots of flowers I received 'just because' :)

Went on a road trip with my brother.

Went to the cottage to have a lobster boil with my family.

We also ate raw oysters, so good :)

Hung out with Echo bird bird.

Went on a couple road trips with Sean.

And saw a ton of moose!  I saw 5 in about 5-6 weeks, very unusual.

Echor

I think Echor is Echo's alter ego, because he gave himself that name. How weird is that? Whenever I ask him 'Who's a pretty bird?' he says 'Echor', it's hilarious.

I haven't posted in a while so I thought I'd show a couple pictures of Echo and a 3 minute video, if it ever uploads (it's taking ages, good thing I can edit the rest of my post in the meantime). The first picture was taken a few days ago when he got a hold of Sean's crystal. He LOVED it, petting and scratching his head with it, it was so cute.

The funny part is he was extremely hyper and flying around like a mad bird before landing on the table and finding his new treasure, then once I put him back on his cage with it he became super calm. I don't know much about crystals but he'll be getting his own, that's for sure :P

The ones below were taken this evening :)

A little video of Echo being super cute, not talking though, he's still camera shy. Don't mind the mess in the background!

Echo

This is Echo, my new african grey :) Someone I know needed to re-home him and I adopted him last weekend. He is so sweet, very gentle, and has bonded to us already. He loves to talk, his personal favorites are 'Echo', 'Peekaboo' and 'I love you', I'll have to post videos of him talking sometime. He's very young, about 3 years old. African greys can live for 40-60 years, so I think Sean and I have found a lifelong friend :)
