I rented a lens, which arrived yesterday. It's the Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6l and I have it for 10 days. I'm not sure I want to give it back LOL, I really like it, much better than my old Sigma. I mainly got it to play with it and get a feel of it, but also because I found a great horned owl nest a couple of weeks ago, and my Sigma is just not cutting it right now! I took a few shots of the chicks but I'm not satisfied, I'll have to go back this weekend with a tripod and try to get a bit closer without disturbing the birds. They have got to be the sweetest things I've ever seen.
I also found a bald eagle nest just 5 minutes from my house, I'll be taking pictures of them tomorrow morning, I saw that there are two chicks. I'm very lucky this spring :)

Oh, how neat! Can't wait to see more...
400mm? I'm drooling. Enjoy it. I look forward to seeing more pics.
Oh wow, how cute they are... It is nice to be able to rent a nice lens like this, but as you said, will be hard to get it back ;-)
